BBQ grill chicken is a hot favorite with most people. Once summer sets in, people start looking forward to grilled foods which can be barbecued in their own backyard under the stars. Unfortunately the meat does not always turn out well. Sometimes the chicken may be under-cooked on the inside and charred on the outside. A little bit of understanding of the methods of BBQ grill will get you the perfect grill, especially when grilling chicken.
The first step is to choose the kind of chicken you want to grill. It could be a whole one or could be quartered. Make sure that the skin has been removed and it is de-boned. Cut away the extra fat from the chicken pieces and wash it under running water. The water should be cold, not hot. Wipe it dry and marinate it. Once you have decided on the type of marinate make sure that you have all the ingredients and get this ready before the chicken. For the best results you can leave the chicken in the fridge overnight. Now the chicken is ready to be put on the BBQ grill.
Always make a check list of what you will need for the grilled chicken before hand. Apart from the chicken pieces and the grill, which could be gas or charcoal, you will need the marinade, brine, seasoning, a brush to apply the sauce and spices and two plates. The chicken should be tender for it to cook fast. Before you start the grilling process make sure that you have preheated the grill to the desired temperature which is usually 350 degrees.
Once the chicken is done leave it on the platter for a few minutes before you serve it to the guests. This way the chicken will remain juicy and the moisture will not run out when the pieces are cut.
