The texture of rolled oats and the flakes resemble each other. They can be a delicious way start your day especially when you add some nuts and fruits. You can also enjoy plain quinoa as much as you enjoy plain oatmeal. You can use quinoa as replacement for oatmeal recipes.

Babies can also have a taste of quinoa. You need not worry about introducing wheat at an early stage as this food is hypoallergenic and it will not produce any negative side effects on your baby. You may also check with your doctor just to be safe.

Quinoa flakes are cooked for approximately 4 minutes and following the 1:1 ratio. This means that one part flakes is to one part liquid. If you love baking, you can also use them to make your recipes a bit different.

You can add quinoa as an additional ingredient in a smoothie recipe. Here is a smoothie recipe that you should try.
