Summer time is when everyone wants to sit back, relax and enjoy some of the best food and drinks to make their time all the more pleasant. How about having a nice, tasty and refreshing drink recipe? A well-known and well-loved summer drink is Sangria and as well as being served in many different restaurants, it is also very easy to make at home. Maybe you've never heard of Sangria and maybe you have but you're not sure how to make it; read on and learn the easy steps to making this great drink recipe.

First you should know that the best foods to eat while drinking Sangria would be Mediterranean dishes and Spanish foods, so if you will be drinking Sangria then you should consider serving it with complimentary foods. Sangria will go great with other foods as well though!

Now, you will need to know what fruits you need to add to your ingredient list. There are various fruits that you can choose to put in the Sangria mix to add your own unique taste. These fruits would include plums, pears, grapes, peaches, apple, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and limes. You can just choose your favourites but make sure that the fruits you use will taste good together. You can also add some berries into the drink mixture such as strawberries and blackberries for added natural sweetness.

It is now time to make the Sangria itself. There are a few components that are important to the recipe that you will need to include and these are red wine, orange liquor, and orange juice. Purchase sparkling water to add to the recipe as well. Make sure you have sugar as well as the berries that you have picked out to add to your drink. Using more than just one fruit is highly recommended for the recipe so that you and your guests will be able to experience a unique flavour.

You will need to start off by chopping all of the fruits that you want in your drink. Add the fruit to a pitcher along with the other red wine, orange liquor and orange juice. Add the sugar slowly and taste the mixture as you add it to make sure you're not adding too much or too little. After creating the desired taste, put the Sangria in the fridge to cool for a few hours before pouring the chilled sparkling water in to serve.
